The Stag and Lion is a prominent inn in Baerlon. It is four stories tall, and run by Master Fitch. It is notable for being the first inn in which the Emond's Fielders stayed after they left the Two Rivers following the Winternight attack. Min Farshaw worked there until the inn burned down following an infiltration by a Fade; she then went to Tar Valon while the inn was being rebuilt by Master Fitch with Tar Valon gold. The Two Rivers folk were reunited with Nynaeve at the inn and set out from there on the fateful path that took them to Shadar Logoth.
