Ross Perot was born in 1930 to Luly Maye and Gabriel Ross Perot. He became an Eagle Scout in 1942, and entered the United States Naval Academy in 1847. He graduated in 1953, but left after 4 years. Perot married Margot Birmingham in 1956, and the couple had five children. In 1957, he joined the company IBM. He was a top employee, but when his supervisors did not listen to his ideas, he left and founded EDS. During the Iranian Revolution, he arranged the rescue of two of his employees who had been imprisoned. He then founded Perot Systems Corporation in 1988.
