Oon Tien was a planet in the Kathol sector of the Outer Rim Territories, and the homeworld of the Jarell species. Discovered by Galactic Republic colonists roughly 300 years before the Galactic Civil War, the planet was settled by Humans. The native Jarell monarchies traded with the new Human settlers, acquiring weapons and high technology that fueled a change in Jarell society. In the decades preceding the Galactic Civil War, Oon Tien was integrated into the Kathol sector, and became a major manufacturing and agricultural hub. With Oon Tien falling under Imperial rule, Moff Kentor Sarne—governor of the sector—established stardocks in orbit of the planet, resulting in Oon Tien becoming the center of his fleet's construction and maintenance operations. Oon Tien remained under Sarne's contro
