The yalisk is a giant reed-like tree, native to the coastal areas of Telios Prime. The hollow trunks were initially used as floats on the first ocean going Telian ships. The sap of the yalisk, once distilled, yields a compound that has been used as a marine adhesive for more than five centuries.
