Glade is one of the few animated clay dragons that Elizabeth Pennykettle made and either sold or gave away. Glade has ivy around her neck that changes color due to the change of her owner, Melanie Cartwright's, mood. Melanie was one of Lucy Pennykettle's friends. She lived in Orchid Close, one of the closes near Wayward Cresent, before she moved to Plymouth. Glade helps the residents of the Pennykettle house in Dark Fire. Dark Fire is the first book and last book in the original series Glade is mentioned in.
