Renvik was a Perseid agent for the All Systems University Library, Special Collections Division. He discovered footage detailing the massacre of Brandenburg Tor and the involvement of the Spirit of the Abyss. He contacted his superior, Hohne, who instructed him to bring the archive to the nearest safe place, which happened to be the Andromeda Ascendant. However, Renvik was pursued by the bounty hunter Jeger across space in a very small escape pod.
