The Lady in Cubicle was large woman who shopped at Sylvia's Separates and who refused to believe that her actual dress size was larger than her own estimate. First seen struggling valiantly with Gail Potter to fit into a pair of trousers, she tried on item after item and finally reverted to the first item she tried, as Elsie Howard predicted she would. Later on, she had a terrible coughing fit in the changing room as Elsie argued with Hilda Ogden over a smock top she wanted to return.
