An Elkiem is a strange humanoid amphibious creature. Some have described it as being half-Man half-Fish, similar to the Fishmen of Allansia. It has been known to prey on Humans by catching them with a type of fishing rod which pulls the Human into the deep waters of pools. Once submerged the Elkiem will dive in after the potential victim and attempt to drown them. The Elkiem are said to be named after their creator, the minor god Elkiem, a companion of Icthys and servant of Hydana.
