Onatel of Kell (differentiated to Onatel, the seeress that assisted the party on the Isle of Verkat) is a young woman with large brown eyes and lustrous brown hair. She was the most friendly and talkative of the group of young women who served Garion's party in Kell. She invited Velvet and Ce'Nedra to the place where the young women worked. Onatel had been summoned to serve in “the place of the seers," and between Ce'Nedra's vapid expressions and Velvet's observations with the other young women, they were able to discern the seers were up on the mountain.
