Ranma, Soun and Genma travel to a seaside resort town that has been harassed by a "living octopus trap". As soon as they get there they hear reports of the trap stealing food and bothering women. They use Ranma to lure the trap, and discover that it was Happosai who had been terrorizing the town. The locals end up thinking that they had been conspiring with Happosai and beat them up. Happosai returns to the Tendo house.
