Jack and the Witch (少年ジャックと魔法使い Shōnen Jack to Mahōtsukai) is a animated film directed by Taiji Yabushita. It is a modernization of the Old English poem Beowulf, and its working title was Adventure in the Wonder World. Jack and the Witch's release was set to mark the tenth anniversary of Toei's animation department. Seiichiro Uno's score was awarded at the Mainichi Film Concours, making it the first animated film score to be recognized at this ceremony.
