The skirmisher is the upgrade of the spearwielder, the second tier unit of the Fortress faction in the Hammers of Fate expansion to Heroes of Might and Magic V. With the No Melee Penalty, the skirmisher will be able to handle melee combat far better than the spearwielder. In addition, it has twice as many shots (though still far too few to be an effective support unit - bring an ammo cart).
