In 2001, a group of demons known as the Brotherhood of the Thorn infiltrated an investment banker to finance a merger between the company and a major rival, Luxirom. The merger would have put nearly all the world's internet traffic under the company's control. The demon Vornac posed as the rival comanpy's CEO to vote for the merger, but the Charmed Ones vanquished him, allowing the real CEO to vote against it.
