Holly Doone's career as an actress lasted for only some five years in the mid-1960s. She appeared in Crossroads, Mrs Thursday and had a minor role in the cult 1967 series The Prisoner. Although she never appeared in Coronation Street, she did appear in the recurring role of shop assistant Mavis Foster in three episodes of the first season of the spin-off Pardon the Expression in 1965.
