Yoshida Medical Research (abbreviated YMR) is a subsidiary company owned by Tagruato, involved in "deep sea bioprospecting". They are conduct genetic research the organisms that live in extreme environments on the bottom of the ocean, in the hopes that these previously undiscovered "extremophiles" will yield cures, treatments and preventative measures for several types of common diseases, such as cancer, herpes and cystic fibrosis.
