The Weekly Dig is an independent weekly newspaper that bills itself as "the best little paper in Boston." It contains articles, news, the Secret Asian Man column by Tak Toyoshima, events listings, among other standard features of a free alternative weekly. It was recently bought by Metro International, which has a partnership with The Boston Globe, itself a subsidiary of the New York Times. Its main competitor is The Boston Phoenix.
