Known as the Red Howlers, Zelenko and his flight, operating with the 937th Attack Helicopter Squadron, was feared for its nightmare attacks behind enemy lines during the brutal battles across West Germany. Using a modified IR143 sensor system, the unit would scan for enemy transmissions and follow them to their source, blasting the target with a barrage of rockets before disappearing again into the darkness.
