Portobello Pharmaceutical Company was an Earth-based company that sold pharmaceuticals approximately 600 years before the main sequence of events of the Vorkosigan Saga. Dr. Bianca, who gained co-ownership of the company by marrying the heiress to the company, found himself unwilling to co-run the company and decided to bring about sole ownership through an indirect plot to kill his wife by means of a nightmarish dream produced by Anias Ruey. The plot fell through when Anias demanded the dream be returned to her.
