Stromos is an automated sleeper ship, with four long, cylindrical chamber at its rear, around a thicker central cylinder, which contained the cryogenic sleep chambers. Stromos was equipped with defensive technologies that can render life forms unconscious for an undetermined amount of time. The ship along with its sister ships was created to preserve remnants of the Talthun society, because their planet Talthus was threatened by a solar flare that would certainly destroy them. Its hull is capable of withstanding a crash landing, but it took an uncertain but apparently extreme degree of damage in the process. (SG1: "Lifeboat")
