Once they attacked New York, Captain America was sent in to destroy the transmitterscentral communications post. He then teamed up with Black Widow and destroyed their communications base. When Rogers reached the base, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had located Renner. Rogers secured him, but found no trace of the weapons. Rogers then engaged Taskmaster and defeated him, taking him into custody.
