A man nicknamed Gorilla was killing judges with a solar gun, a weapon that concentrates the sun's rays to incinerate the target. He threatened to kill Judge Dredd at noon, but Dredd went to the Weather Congress and ensured there would be cloud at noon so the solar gun wouldn't work. He chases Gorilla into the Weather Congress where Gorilla hides out in a dark room. The room turns out to be a Sun Probe rocket on a three-year round trip to the sun.
