Elent Dorson (born 2375) was a female Trill who lived aboard the USS Robinson with her Starfleet personnel parents. In 2385, Dorson had befriended Rebecca Jae Sisko and the two worked together on a report on a domesticated animal from a Federation planet. Rebecca wanted to write about a Bajoran pylchyk, while Elent wanted to write about a Denebian slime devil. Benjamin Sisko wasn't sure that Denebian slime devils could be domesticated but Kasidy Yates believed Rebecca would be able to pursuade her to write about the pylchyk.
