In the second Cia's Tale mission, it is revealed that Proxi is a survivor of Cia's attempts to purge Hyrule of its fairies to weaken the kingdom, Proxi was saved from Cia by the intervention of Lana. She meets the brave young Hyrule Army recruit named Link during the game's first mission and decides to stay with him for protection and aids him by acting as a voice for Link due to him being a man of few words.
