Matthew Bellefeuille was a Havenite citizen, the second child and only son of Russell and Jennifer Bellefeuille. He was born around 1907 PD; he and his older sister Diana were brought up mainly by their father, as their mother was a flag officer in the Navy. In 1920 PD, he and his father and sister visited his mother in the Chantilly System, partly in order to celebrate Matthew's thirteenth birthday. Unfortunately, the Manticoran Alliance raided the system at that point, so Matthew and his family had to leave his mother's flagship, the Cyrus, prior to the Battle of Chantilly. (HH11)
