The Gung Ho Bar was a drinking establishment near the Place of Doves in Shanghai, China. Short Round first met Indiana Jones at the Gung Ho Bar in 1935 when he attempted to pick the archaeologist's pocket. Later in the year, on the day Jones was looking to trade Nurhachi's ashes for the Peacock's Eye, Short Round revisted the bar to give Jones a Belgian passport he had stolen for their friend, Wu Han.
