Mother Units, otherwise known as Mother Unit Class Security Matrix (or MUC) are Androids. Being semi-sentient they have a small amount of ability to think for themselves and are for the most part programmed for one task: Protect Sorven. Created by the Winters Corporation in order to protect Raine Winters after the death of her father Jacob Winters she rejected the creature. However after realizing the potential MUCs as a protective force now uses them as a security system for the city.
