In 2263, the USS Stargazer was cleared for Space Lane 4. During the attack on Yorktown, Krall broke into one of the space lanes with three Swarm ships followed by the USS Franklin under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. While Krall headed into Yorktown itself chased by Spock and McCoy in a hijacked Swarm ship, the Franklin followed through the space lanes. Ultimately, the Franklin emerged from the space lanes into Yorktown Central Plaza to physically stop Krall and his ships. (Star Trek Beyond)
