Yes. Aside from being swung around from its bandage like wrapping, it has an ability called Getsuga Tensho that fires concentrated bursts of reiatsu and in Bankai it becomes smaller and allows high speed movement. As of now ichigo is learning the "Final Getsuga Tensho".
