The USS Excelsior (NCC-77246) was a Federation dreadnought of the Galaxy III-class. It is capable of supporting a crew complement of approximately 1200. Due to wartime personnel needs, Excelsior's current crew complement is approximately 700, and families have been relocated to Deep Space 12.
