Malikyan has had a successful career since the 1960s, appearing in episodes of The Saint, The Avengers, Jason King, Barlow at Large, The Onedin Line, Crown Court, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, The Bill, Minder and Casualty. However, he is best known for playing Maximilian Papandrious on Mind Your Language and appearing in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
