The Magma Hook was a Toa Tool crafted and used by Toa Vilnius. According to a number of contemporary accounts, Toa Vilnius created the Toa tool himself using the horn of a Kane-Ra, which he allegedly found dying after being wounded by a Dark Hunter. Additionally, Vilnius would have used his Magma Hook during his battle against Toa "Graviton," a rogue Toa of Gravity. When Vilnius retired from life as a Toa and chose to become a Turaga, he kept his Magma Hook intact.
