Dougherty was a member of the transportation department on two previous films written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci: 2005's The Island (featuring Justin Rodgers Hall, Glenn Morshower, Randy Oglesby, Noa Tishby, and Star Trek: Voyager regular Ethan Phillips) and Transformers (featuring Andy Milder, Glenn Morshower, W. Morgan Sheppard, Michael Shamus Wiles, Jamison Yang, and the voice of Robert Foxworth). Her other transportation credits include the films Unaccompanied Minors (featuring Teri Garr and Stephen Liska), Semi-Pro, and the upcoming Paramount Pictures release, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (featuring Spencer Daniels). She also worked as a transportation dispatcher on the hit television series Monk.
