The M3 Grindell/Galilean Nonlinear Rifle (re-designated the Model 3.a as of 2576) is a one up from the Model 6, designed for killing targets with extreme amounts of armor, such as the Scarab and the Mythos walker. The laser is powerful enough to punch through their armor, but requires a 15 to 20 second recharge time. It is also incredibly heavy, massing in at 24 kilograms when loaded. The Model 3 was best used in a fortified position, where the users did not have to worry about mobility.
