Talma Pren was a female Human in the early 24th century. Pren was an agent of the Asfar Qatala crime syndicate, working as a middleman between Qatala head Mahfouz Qadir and the mercenaries employed by the organization. One of those mercenaries was Su Chen-Mai, who was hired to find a rumored interdimensional portal in the pre-Hebitian ruins of an unnamed planet near the Cardassian border. She had also worked, in a double-dealing scheme, with the Orion Syndicate, and with Baatin al-Halak and Arava on Farius Prime.
