The Third Sino-Japanese War was a major military clash between China and Japan over domination of the Ryukyu Islands, arguments over military spending, and who truly held dominance in the global marketplace. What started as a mutual tension between the two nations escalated into a full blown war after the Port of Kobe was bombed by the Chinese to prevent Japanese aggression.
