In the game, each dragon serves two functions: searching for fish or wood. The amount of wood and/or fish they collect depends entirely on the level of the dragon and its species. There are two ways of leveling up a dragon: by feeding it fish or by training it at the academy in exchange of wood. These two methods are not interchangeable (you do not get to choose whether you want to train your dragon at the academy or feed it fish).
