The Jamaa Home Fleet is permanently stationed above the planet, serving the world's protection and the sector's primary miltiary force. Given the Jamaa Sector's importance in the Hurian colonization effort, the Home Fleet and thus Nyumbani are well funded and staffed, ensuring that only the best make it to Kepler-22b, the cradle of the new Hurian nation. Like so many of the Hurian colonies, especially given the colony's size and wealth, the planet is heavily guarded with land-based orbital cannons, multiple stations of the Mwangalizi and Mlinzi-class, and at least one Amri-class Space Station where the Hurian War Council is stationed.
