Herr Von Claussen was the Order's operative in the Rheinland systems, acting as a spy and informer, under the supervision of Lord Hakkera. It appears he was, at one time, a respected member of the Rheinland Military, but left after the Rheinland government began oppressing its citizens, and became a member of the Order. Despite his hatred of Rheinland's leaders, he is still fanatically loyal to Rheinland itself. In his own words to Trent, "You have no idea how difficult it was to betray my world in order to save it."
