In the midst of the Defense of Daispin in 149 ABY, a duel occurred between Centurion and Legate Aria Nikina and Dark Jedi Sacco Vyrak. Both Nikina and Vyrak had been wreaking havoc on one another's armies, with Nikina's fury at the attack on her homeworld driving her into a nearly mindless slaughter of Vyrak's army. Vyrak himself led a charge into the 9th Massassi Cohort, which could not stand against his command of the Force and mastery of the dark side. Knowing they were losing critical momentum, the officers of the 9th relayed the situation to Nikina, who tore herself away from her own fight to engage Vyrak.
