Global cuisines (as opposed to all cuisines around the world) refers to the certain national and regional cuisines that can now be found scattered all around the world, and are locally important foods to those who have imported them over the years. Being global, they have often been changed by their host countries to suit differing tastes, though authentic styles can usually be found, too. There are generally recognized to be seven truly global cuisines, and some semi-global cuisines.
