The 1958 Virginia 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on April 20, 1958. Bob Welborn had a solid race, leading 274 of 500 laps in route to a twelve-carlength victory over Rex White. Eventual 1958 champ Lee Petty finished 11th.
