The Edmund Fitzgerald was a rather large lake freighter that sank on Lake Superior on November 10, 1975. None of the 29 men on board survived. If it weren't broken in half, you could actually stand it on it's end in the spot where it's underwater and have the other end sticking out by a pretty good deal.
