Viktor Krum attended Durmstrang, a wizarding school notorious for teaching the Dark Arts, and was one of the school's most popular students. He was chosen as the Durmstrang champion when he participated in the Triwizard Tournament. He placed second place behind Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory. He danced with Hermione Granger at the Yule Ball. He was very sad when Cedric Diggory died and told Harry and his friends that he always liked Cedric because Cedric was always polite to him. Viktor eventually married a woman from Bulgaria in the future.
