David's English Teaching World was started by David Vincent in the summer of 2007 as a reaction to what he considered to be the over commercialisation and exploitation of the English language teaching profession by websites such as Dave's ESL Cafe. Starting as ELT World blog, the project continues to grow in scope and popularity, now including a bi-monthly journal Horizons and an increasingly popular discussion forum. The forum is not immune to the lunatic fringe, still attracting its fair share of trolls, one of whom, 31, comments below:
