Commander Bennington "Ben" Biraka was a Human male serving in Starfleet in the 24th century. Bennington "Ben" Biraka was born in 2327 and was a graduate of Starfleet Academy, class of 2347. In addition to his medical degree, he held command-line qualifications in several areas, including security, operations, navigation and tactical. Dr. Biraka served as the first officer of the USS Righteous from 2359 until at least 2367 when the ship disappeared and was presumed destroyed in the Battle of Wolf 359.
