Auntie Mame was a French Bone Gnawer of the Rat Fink camp who crossed the Atlantic with French colonists. She migrated to Charlston, where she worked as a prostitute, and eventually ran a brothel. She disliked the British and helped the Americans during the Revolutionary war, allowing them to hide guns and spies in their basement. She was known as one of the most attractive and clean Bone Gnawers ever. She also spied for the North during the Civil War. Although General Sherman spared Charleston, the locals suspected that she was a spy and tore down her brothel. She tried to move and got married, but died in Chicago of a broken heart.
