The Crying Spring is really a river which runs through the Chasms of the Gaddon and on into the Lands of Malice, although this route of entry is little known. A great grill has been set up across the cave through which the river runs into the Lands of Malice. However, the grill is no longer guarded vigorously and entrances do exist to the side of it. The Crying Spring originally derives its name from the sound which the echoes of the water's torrent make against the cavern walls. It is said by some that the cries are of those unfortunate souls who were killed trying to enter the Lands of Malice and were hung on the grill and left to die as a sign to others.
