According with Yoshi series when Mario was a child, Yoshi's Island had many landscape including grass, mountains, jungles and glaciers where had a many flora and fauna. In Mario series when it reaches adulthood, everything was extinct leaving only glass, forests lakes and rock mountains. Also revealed this island also is located the north of Koopa Kingdom, the Bowser's domain.
