The Ring of Night was an oni-created ninja item that allowed its bearer to become a living shadow. The ninja had to surface completely in fresh blood, or coated himself with it. The drawback was that he would see better the shadows of the living than their own bodies, which was quite confusing and disorienting. The artifact was made in the form of a simple metal band that seemed blacker than night itself.
