"That is a grenade" -Bratac Tok'Kal, or shock grenades, are Goa'uld and Tok'ra weapons used for non-lethal purposes. Similar to a Tau'ri flashbang, they are designed to emit intense light and sound, rendering anyone in the vicinity unconscious near-instantaneously. Those hit by the grenades also suffer from temporary blindness lasting about an hour after regaining consciousness. A variant of the device can also be used as explosives.
